A Chinese New Year event themed around the life and culture of the Tang Dynasty—the 2025 Tang-Style Lantern Festival—is set to officially open at the Grandview Mall in Guangzhou on January 17.

The opening ceremony will be held on the evening of January 17 at the North Plaza of the Grandview Mall, followed by a variety of wonderful performances: traditional poetry, cultural performances, light shows, acrobatics, and magic performances, etc. The rich and colorful plays will be continuously presented for three nights from January 17 to 19.

Visitors can enter the northwest gate of Grandview Mall through the "Fuxing Long Corridor" (福星长廊). The atrium on the fourth floor will use dreamy light and shadow elements, combined with the blooming national flower of the Tang Dynasty, the peony, to create an exclusive "Glowing Fairy Palace" in the whole city.

Kwong Ching Street (广正街) on the fifth floor is a popular must-visit too. This year, it will gather classic scenes from the ancient capital of Chang'an, which was also a bustling imperial city and vibrant symbol of the Tang Dynasty.

Meanwhile, various activities such as blessing lantern fairs, Furong temple fairs, Hanfu garden tours, Tang Dynasty-style games, and stamp-collecting interactions will be held at the Mall. Over 50 NPCs, including immortals, poets, and talented scholars, will randomly appear throughout the venue for continuous performances and interactions.
Many venues within the Mall will also launch a series of activities with unique scenic features. Grandview Aquarium transforms into an underwater dragon palace, with luminous awakening lions and beautiful mermaids shining in the sleepless underwater city.
Grandview Penguin Snow World creates a peach blossom snow village, where the romantic dance of "Snow Reflects Red Attire 2.0" takes place, offering an immersive experience of the joy of China's Snow Town.
In Grandview Rainforest, there will be a flower festival featuring the twelve flower deities, flower lanterns, fresh flowers, and cute pets.
The Grandview Museum of Natural Science joins hands with Meet You Museum to jointly present the "Meet Dunhuang" light and shadow art exhibition.

2025 marks the 20th anniversary of the opening of Grandview Mall.
