The "Eating in Guangzhou" theme exhibition showcasing the history of "why Cantonese cuisine has a thousand-year-old flavor" was recently opened at Shufangjie Square, Beijing Subdistrict (北京街道书坊街广场), Yuexiu District, Guangzhou. The archive-style exhibition offers visitors a chance to understand the thousand-year essence of Cantonese cuisine.


Held on the bustling Beijing Road Food Street, the exhibition allows visitors to wander amid the bustling street atmosphere. This exhibition is divided into four major sections: "The Evolution of Cantonese Cuisine," "Time-Honored Restaurants of Guangzhou," "Showcase of Classic Cantonese Dishes," and "Stories of Lingnan Food Culture," showing precious archival materials. It also features storytelling sessions, interactive activities, performances of intangible cultural heritage, and a gourmet market.
The exhibition will remain open to the public free of charge until June 21. Visitors are warmly welcome to dive into the time-honoured Cantonese food heritage via this immersive exhibition.
