As summer arrives in Liantan Town, Yu'nan County, approximately 66.7 hectares of paddy fields stretching from Xiba to Longyan village committees have turned into a sea of emerald green. Beyond their scenic appeal, these fields serve as a demonstration ground for agricultural innovation, featuring 11.3 hectares of experimental plots cultivating "Huahang Xiangyinzhen," a premium rice variety developed through space breeding using seeds carried aboard China's Shenzhou spacecraft.

Neatly arranged rice plants form layers of emerald green that stretch as far as the eye can see. Beyond their scenic beauty, these vast fields also serve as a showcase for agricultural innovation.

Out of the 66.7 hectares of paddy fields, 11.3 hectares are designated as experimental plots where the premium rice variety "Huahang Xiangyinzhen (华航香银针)" is cultivated. This rice variety has been developed through space breeding, derived from seed samples carried aboard the Shenzhou series spacecraft for space mutagenesis experiments. It boasts a combination of high quality, high yield, and strong disease resistance.

As summer unfolds, the lush paddy fields of Yunfu showcase how technology and agriculture can grow together, blending natural beauty with innovation.
