Guangdong goods go global as overseas buyers begin immersive sourcing tour in Zhuhai

On March 5, a group of 15 Canton Fair global buyers and 56 premium suppliers embarked on a series of immersive, face-to-face factory inspections and procurement negotiations as part of the "Trade Bridge-China Industrial Sourcing Trip," organized by the China Foreign Trade Centre and the "Guangdong Goods Global Reach" campaign, in Guangdong's Zhuhai and Jiangmen cities.

The international buyers from companies in Ireland, Russia, the UAE, and Australia arrived in Zhuhai, the first stop, where they visited local enterprises and conducted matchmaking with 56 suppliers, spanning sectors such as smart home appliances, printing, new energy, and storage.

From robotic orchestras to industrial printers churning out 100 pages per minute, the next generation of "made in Guangdong" products took center stage in the tour, which provided the buyers with a deep dive into Zhuhai's industrial backbone, where traditional manufacturing meets high-tech innovation.

At the headquarters of Gree Electric, visitors were greeted by robots performing musical instruments—a striking testament to the company's evolution from a home appliance giant into a leader in advanced robotics and high-end components. Beyond the spectacle, the company's products featured heat pump laundry systems and air conditioning units, illustrating a shift toward green energy and intelligent living that resonated deeply with the delegation.

This spirit of innovation was equally evident in the Xiangzhou District, widely recognized as the world capital of printing consumables. At Ninestar Group, buyers witnessed the "hardcore" power of Zhuhai-made equipment, ranging from industrial printers with lightning-fast output to 3D printers producing vivid, hyper-realistic models.

Meanwhile, Quin Technology Co., Ltd. showcased the trend toward portability with a label printer weighing less than a small can of soda, capable of printing a full A4 sheet in just ten seconds during a live demonstration, which drew admiration from the delegation.

The matchmaking event was also fruitful. The efficiency of this "factory-to-buyer" event, which combined site visits with targeted negotiations, promised tangible results.

Roger Luo, General Manager China of Ireland's Exertis Supply Chain Services Ltd., noted that the face-to-face format allowed his team to verify R&D strength and production capacity in real-time. He expressed particular interest in Kingdomcares (K SKIN)'s patented beauty electronics, such as hair straighteners designed specifically for European hair types that remain safe to touch even at high temperatures.

Nikhin A.K., a buyer for the UAE's Lulu Group International, remarked that the speed and manufacturing level displayed in Zhuhai are "astonishing," suggesting that the world must pay close attention to the innovation currently emerging from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

Zhang Sihong, Deputy Director of the China Foreign Trade Centre, emphasized that it is essential to transform Guangdong goods from a local success story into a vital, high-competition pillar of the global industrial chain, ensuring that "made in Guangdong" continues to lead the way in the international market.
