Hainan signs 233.6 billion yuan in projects, unveils 400 investment opportunities

Invest in China· 2025 Global Industrial Investment Promotion Conference for the Hainan Free Trade Port was held on April 14 at the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center.

Co-hosted by the Hainan Provincial Government and the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, the event gathered global participants to explore investment opportunities and foster international cooperation.

Under the theme "Invest in Hainan, Connect with the world," the conference showcased the Hainan Free Trade Port's achievements, policy advantages, and business-friendly environment. It aimed to promote industrial upgrading, enhance openness, and drive economic development while strengthening international trade and industry collaboration.

Representatives from Fortune 500 companies, Chinese enterprises, and private sector companies, alongside financial, consulting, and professional service institutions, attended the event. Participants expressed strong confidence in Hainan's investment potential, citing its attractive policies, natural resources, convenient transportation, and favorable business conditions.

During the conference, 265 projects were signed with a total investment of about 233.6 billion yuan ($32.8 billion). Notably, 55 key projects were signed in the morning session, amounting to 154 billion yuan. In the afternoon, eight specialized industry promotion meetings focused on high-tech, aerospace, low-altitude economy, tropical agriculture, tourism, deep-sea exploration, green low-carbon, and modern services, furthering industry cooperation through targeted investment strategies.

The conference also released a list of 400 investment opportunities with a total investment of around 460 billion yuan. These projects are set to bolster industrial upgrading, innovation, and infrastructure development, supporting Hainan's goal of becoming a model for comprehensive reform and opening-up.

The conference provided a vital platform for global collaboration, reinforcing Hainan's position as a leader in China's new era of reform and opening-up. Looking ahead, Hainan will continue to embrace openness, optimize its business environment, and attract more quality enterprises and projects to create a shared future with global investors.
