According to Guangzhou Zoo, a new panda pavilion will open next week, with giant pandas "Jiu Jiu" and "You You" officially making their public debut on October 20, 2025.

"You You," the playful brother
"Jiu Jiu" and "You You" are twin male pandas born at the Zoo Aquarium de Madrid in Spain. Their names mean "Forever" and "Friendship," respectively, in Chinese, symbolizing the enduring friendship between China and Spain.
After a period of observation and adaptation following their return from Spain, the two adorable pandas have settled in well and seem very happy in their new home. The new pavilion provides them with a spacious and comfortable environment, complete with modern facilities and a professional team of keepers and veterinarians.
