BASF's engineering plastics plant at the Zhanjiang Verbund site in Guangdong Province has been certified under ISCC PLUS (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification).

The certification covers renewable and recycled feedstocks and verifies their sustainable origin and allocation through a mass-balance approach, offering independent traceability across the value chain.
"The ISCC PLUS certification for our Shanghai and Zhanjiang operations reflects our commitment to delivering verified, low-carbon material solutions at scale," said Andy Postlethwaite, senior vice president of Performance Materials Asia Pacific at BASF. "Local certification strengthens supply reliability and helps customers accelerate their green transformation while maintaining the performance they require."
