Building on Su Bingtian's latest trendy Nike commercial, which used Guangdong's famous slow-cooked soup as a metaphor for athletes' patience and effort, Chen Guanfeng, a Guangdong 4x100m relay sprinter, described Su's career: "Su is like a rich, slow-cooked soup. He poured his life and youth into the track, refining his skills to break 10 seconds. And he did it—9.83 seconds. This is that 'soup.'"
At the China National Games in Guangzhou on November 20, the men's 4x100m relay, the most eye-catching event, saw Team Guangdong, led by Asian record-holder Su Bingtian, finish in fourth place.
