The first Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Coffee Industry Expo opened on August 28 at the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Guangdong-Huizhou) Green Agricultural Products Production and Supply Base in Huizhou, Guangdong Province.
The expo brings together premium coffee beans from major producing regions worldwide, including Colombia and China's Yunnan Province, alongside a full range of coffee equipment from compact household models to fully automatic commercial machines. The event has attracted numerous visitors for cupping sessions and business negotiations.
Today, the Greater Bay Area has become one of China's most dynamic coffee consumption markets and a key manufacturing and export hub for coffee equipment across all categories.
During the expo, the Greater Bay Area Coffee Bean Trading Platform was officially launched. The platform integrates global procurement and trading, bonded warehousing and distribution, blockchain traceability, supply chain finance and industrial data services into a unified "online trading + bonded warehousing + smart distribution" model.
A bonded warehouse at the base received customs approval on August 25, just ahead of the expo. Combined with the existing South China Coffee Bean Bonded Distribution Center, the warehouse helps significantly reduce the import and distribution costs of green coffee beans and improve supply chain efficiency.
On the opening day, a number of coffee roasting and food processing companies from across China signed agreements to establish operations in Huizhou. As a key node city in the Greater Bay Area, Huizhou—leveraging its bonded warehousing and smart distribution capabilities at the base—is poised to become a new hub for the coffee industry chain within the region.
