Colorful activities to be held at Maoming's Nanhai Island during Spring Festival holiday

During the Spring Festival, scenic spots such as Tangxiali Street, Youfu City, Yanjing Ridge, and China First Beach on Nanhai Island, Maoming, will hold events like Spring Festival lantern shows, intangible cultural heritage performances, and Tang-Song dynasties-themed markets to create a festive atmosphere.

Tangxiali Street will feature a lantern festival with hundreds of meters of lanterns stretching from Li Street beach to Nianli Square. From January 29 to February 4h, Nianli Square will also present intangible cultural heritage performances, such as iron flower beating, fire kettle, fire meteor, and fire wheel, offering visitors an aesthetic experience of oriental flames.

Youfu City will create a market scene filled with the charm of the Tang and Song dynasties. Booths selling handicrafts, special snacks, and ancient costumes, as well as experience areas for calligraphy, painting, and tea art, and sports activities like archery, Cuju (ancient Chinese football), juggling, wooden target shooting, and tug-of-war, will transport visitors back to the Tang and Song dynasties.

Yanjing Ridge stands majestically on the coast of the South China Sea and is the highest point within a 20-kilometer radius. Visitors can easily reach the summit along the footpath to overlook the South China Sea. Whether in the morning, during the day, or in the evening, the scenery is breathtaking.

China First Beach is suitable for family activities. Strolling along the beach, watching kids build sandcastles, and taking photos in the coconut grove will all create wonderful memories. From January 28 to February 4, intangible cultural heritage performances such as iron flower beating, fire wheel, fire kettle, and fire meteor will be arranged at China First Beach every day from 17:40 to 18:40.
