Between January 28 and February 4, 2025, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport managed a passenger volume of 1.95 million, averaging approximately 243,750 travelers daily. The peak occurred on February 3, with 264,100 passengers.
To accommodate the increased traffic during the Spring Festival, the airport activated its fourth runway on January 23, 2025. This 3,400-meter runway, equipped with advanced navigation systems, allows for an aircraft to take off or land every three minutes, enhancing flight efficiency. This development also makes the airport the 1st in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to operate four runways.

On New Year's Eve, a world-record-breaking jump rope team performed inside the terminal, adding an element of excitement.
