PRIME NETWORK WEEK kicks off at Guangzhou’s GDUFS

On the afternoon of November 5, the opening ceremony of the PRIME NETWORK WEEK was held at the International Conference Hall of the Baiyun Mountain Campus of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS). This international education exchange event attracted 26 universities and international educational institutions from 12 countries and regions.

The event, held between November 5 and 8, featured a series of activities including a world-famous universities showcase, international exchange program presentations, cooperation negotiation sessions with worldwide universities, academic forums on the internationalization of education, high-end forums on international governance, wisdom and strategy lectures on diplomacy and foreign affairs, and sharing sessions by students participating in overseas study programs.

With the theme "Set Sail from GDUFS, Embark on a Journey to the Future," the event comprehensively showcased the cooperation achievements between GDUFS and world-renowned universities in areas such as talent cultivation, academic exchanges, scientific research, and social services. It also established a comprehensive and multi-layered platform for international exchanges for teachers and students at GDUFS.

On the first day of the event, a series of activities such as the academic forum on the internationalization of education, international exchange program presentations, and cooperation negotiation sessions with worldwide universities were held at both the Baiyun Mountain Campus and the University Town Campus.

The Academic Forum on the Internationalization of Education kicked off with a bang. Dr. Abd Ganing Laengkang from the University of Malaya visited the Baiyun Mountain Campus to deliver a fascinating lecture on "Malay as an Academic Language in Southeast Asia: Impacts and Future Prospects" for GDUFS students.

Meanwhile, Professor Zhong Bu from the School of Communication at Hong Kong Baptist University conducted lectures on "Communication Intervention in Chronic Disease Symptom Control" and "Research Ideas and Opportunities: Communication Studies in the Age of Artificial Intelligence" at the University Town Campus.

Renowned universities, such as the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, Rennes School of Business in France, and Macao Polytechnic Institute, introduced various overseas exchange and study programs to GDUFS students through program presentation sessions and provided guidance on further education and study abroad.

Moreover, universities including the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom, SKEMA Business School in France, and the Education University of Hong Kong engaged in project negotiations with the International College, Business English College, and Public Administration College of GDUFS, respectively, to explore new pathways for talent cultivation cooperation.
