A new underwater post office, the first of its kind in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, began operations on November 13 in a restored quarry lake in Foshan's Nanshan Town. Situated 10 meters below the surface, the "Blue Tears Dive Post" allows visitors to mail waterproof postcards while diving, combining aquatic recreation with postal culture to boost regional tourism.

Divers can record voice messages or print customized postcards onshore before diving to mail them. All items are later collected and delivered through the national postal system.
The post office is part of the larger DiveHub International Diving Center, which has hosted over 15,000 visitors since opening. The center offers training, equipment rental, and underwater photography services.
