The main structure of the Tongke Automotive Semiconductor Headquarters and High-End Integrated Circuit Intelligent Manufacturing Project in Dongguan Binhaiwan Bay Area has recently been topped out.
Situated in the Smart Innovation Industrial Park in the Jiaoyi Bay Area of Dongguan Binhaiwan Bay Area, the project is invested in and developed by Dongguan Tongke Electronic Co., Ltd. With a total investment of about 1.05 billion yuan, it covers a land area of about 20 mu (1.33 hectares).
According to the construction schedule, the project is expected to be completed in the first half of 2027. Upon completion, it will accommodate a provincial key laboratory, a provincial enterprise technology center, a doctoral workstation, a national-level CNAS-accredited laboratory, a national engineering technology research center, a semiconductor materials R&D center, and other research platforms.
Once fully operational, the project will effectively alleviate the domestic shortage of core power devices in the new energy vehicle industry chain. It will also support Dongguan Binhaiwan Bay Area in building a new hub for the semiconductor industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
