The Dongguan Next-Generation AI Industry Technology Research Institute and Dongguan Eontec Co., Ltd. have signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement to explore AI applications in die-casting production. The agreement was signed on November 2 at the Artificial Intelligence Sub-forum of the Greater Bay Area Science Forum 2026, held alongside the 7th China (Guangdong) AI Forum in Nansha, Guangzhou.
Combining the institute's AI research capabilities with Eontec's manufacturing experience, the partnership will focus on production control, quality inspection and process optimization, with the aim of testing and deploying AI solutions on factory floors.
Eontec is a high-tech manufacturer specializing in the R&D and production of lightweight alloy materials and precision components. Its products serve sectors including consumer electronics, automotive and medical devices.
The institute focuses on industrial AI algorithms and engineering applications, using a combination of large and small models and accumulated industrial knowledge to develop solutions for manufacturing. The two sides will explore a scenario-driven approach in which specific production needs guide AI development, aiming to create replicable and scalable solutions for the intelligent transformation of traditional manufacturing.
