Macao-Hengqin launches cross-border data services platform

The Macao-Hengqin International Digital Trade Hub Cross-Border Data Services Platform officially went online on September 10, marking a new stage of platform-based operations for the hub in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin.

The platform provides businesses with professional services covering the full process of cross-border data flows, including regulatory information, compliance assessments, trusted data circulation and log retention.

It features a cross-border compliance knowledge base covering laws, regulations, regulatory policies and expert analysis from 36 countries and regions, including China, Portugal, Brazil, the United States, the European Union and ASEAN.

For compliance self-assessment, the platform has developed a systematic checklist covering key areas such as cross-border data transfers, the nature of the entities involved, data types, the volume of personal information and the applicability of negative lists. Businesses can enter relevant information to receive an assessment for reference.

For trusted data circulation, the platform offers customized cross-border solutions and implementation support, including compliance consulting, compliant data processing, data space access, data storage and computing, and filing and assessment services for large AI models. It also provides risk screening and log-retention services for compliance documentation and traceability.

Businesses can register and use the platform online, or seek offline consultation at Window 130, Building 2, Civic Service Center, No. 868 Gang'ao Avenue. The consultation hotline is 0756-2990162.
