Thunderstorms expected to increase across Guangdong from Thursday

The pleasant weather is about to take a break in the coming days.

According to the Guangdong Meteorological Service, Guangdong is expected to maintain clear to cloudy conditions on May 14. But from May 15 to 16, thunderstorms are set to increase throughout the province, with some areas experiencing heavy rainfall.

So, make the most of today's fine weather. If you have laundry to dry, now's the time to get it done.

Here's a detailed look at the weather forecast for the next few days:

On May 15, Shaoguan, Qingyuan, and the western and Pearl River Delta cities and counties will have partly cloudy to overcast skies with thundershowers, and some areas may experience torrential rain. The rest of the province will be mostly cloudy with isolated thundershowers. The highest temperatures are expected to be between 31°C and 33°C in the eastern cities and counties, and between 29°C and 31°C in the remaining areas.

On May 16, cities and counties in the northern and western Guangdong, and northern Pearl River Delta will see partly cloudy to overcast skies with thundershowers, and some areas may face torrential rain. The rest of the province will be mostly cloudy with scattered thundershowers. Most cities and counties in Guangdong will experience the highest temperatures between 29°C and 32°C.

In Guangzhou, the weather forecast is as follows: On the 14th, it will be mostly cloudy with isolated thunderstorms, and temperatures will range from 19°C to 32°C. On the 15th, it will be mostly cloudy with thunderstorms, and temperatures will be between 21°C and 31°C. On the 16th, thunderstorms are expected, with temperatures ranging from 24°C to 32°C.
