Shenzhen's Xili Lake Greenway (西丽湖绿道) was fully opened to the public on February 22.
The Xili Lake Greenway, located in Xili Sub-district, Nanshan District, Shenzhen, spans a total length of 16.2 kilometers. It encircles urban areas, villages, mountains, forests, and water systems around the Xili Reservoir, connecting nine scenic spots and five service stations to form a spatial layout of "one loop with nine scenic spots".
It is reported that the Xili Lake Greenway project first completed a demonstration section of about 3.7 kilometers last year. In 2024, this demonstration section stood out among approximately 40,000 entries from more than 100 countries worldwide to win the gold prize in the Parks & Open Space Landscape category at the prestigious MUSE Design Awards, known as the "Oscars of the design world".

Transportation guide:
Metro: Line 7 to Xili Lake Station (西丽湖站), Exit B, then walk for about 800 meters to enter from the Xili Lake Archway.
Nearest bus stops: Zoo Station (动物园公交站), Zoo Terminal (动物园总站), Shenzhen Talent Academy (深圳市人才研修院), Qinyuan-Xili Lake Intersection (沁园西丽湖路口).
By car: Navigate to "Southwest Gate of Xili Lake Resort (西丽湖度假村西南门)" or "Xili Lake Wenshandieshui Service Station (西丽湖问山叠水驿站)".
Currently, the greenway is still in its trial operation phase, and various facilities, especially lighting, are still under continuous improvement. To ensure a better experience, visitors are advised to visit during daylight hours and avoid traveling at night.
