Twenty hectares of mangroves in Tangwei Village, Zhanjiang provide a natural nursery for egrets for breeding. Flocks of egrets perch on branches or glide across the sky, while chicks wait in their nests. Adult birds shuttle between the mudflats and nesting sites, foraging to feed their young.



Nearby, traffic flows across a bridge while offshore wind turbines turn in the distance, presenting a vivid picture of coexistence between wetland conservation and coastal infrastructure.
