The promotional event "Guangdong Goods Go Global: Zhongshan Products in Malaysia" was held from April 25 to 26 at Pavilion Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
On the sidelines of the event, a major deal was struck. Li Haofan, General Manager of the Marketing Department at Guangdong Welly Electrical Appliances Co., Ltd., signed a purchase agreement with a representative of Malaysia's Khind Group, locking in an order worth approximately 50 million yuan.

"We just signed an order worth around 50 million yuan with a local Malaysian enterprise!" Li announced at the event. Under an exclusive distribution model, it is estimated that the value of cooperation between the two companies in washing machines and microwave ovens will exceed 50 million yuan by 2026.
Six signing ceremonies covering key areas of cooperation between Zhongshan and Malaysia—including tourism, trade and logistics, and product procurement—took place on the first day of the promotional event, with a combined value exceeding 100 million yuan.

Li sees Malaysia as an essential benchmark for penetrating the broader Southeast Asian market. "This visit is critical. The Malaysian market is relatively mature and serves as a bellwether for consumer trends across Southeast Asia. It is a bridgehead from which we can radiate our products into other Southeast Asian countries, such as the Philippines and Myanmar," he said.

"Welly has been exploring emerging markets, and this event is a rare and valuable opportunity that has not only eased the burden on enterprises but also come at just the right moment," Li added.
