Chinese Expert: China, Pacific Islands Should Pursue Win-Win Economic Cooperation

On November 4, China signed a landmark Framework Agreement on Enhanced Economic Partnership with five Pacific Island countries: Micronesia, Kiribati, Nauru, Vanuatu, and Fiji.

China and the relevant Pacific Island countries agreed to conduct flexible and pragmatic negotiations on specific issues such as trade in goods, trade in services, investment, rules, and practical cooperation.

The goal is to achieve common development and jointly build a closer China-Pacific Island community with a shared future.

In a previous exclusive interview with South, drawing on her many years of experience in Pacific Island countries, Niu Li, Executive Director of Haiyi Think Tank, shared her views on economic and trade cooperation between China and the island countries.
