On July 24, the South Huilong Town Channel was officially launched in Huilong Town, Gaoyao District, Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province.

Huilong is not only a vibrant International Cultural Exchange Base for Overseas Chinese but also a well-known hometown of overseas Chinese in Guangdong. The town is home to over 36,000 overseas Chinese living in more than 30 countries, with a particularly strong presence in Australia, as well as 10,000 returned overseas Chinese and their relatives.

The town boasts several historically rich overseas Chinese villages, including Chenghu Village, Chishuitang, and Licha "Bagua" Village, many of which date back centuries. These villages have produced prominent overseas Chinese leaders such as Wu Qifen, Huang Hanyuan, and Deng Muzhou, along with successful entrepreneurs like Huang Zenan. Architectural landmarks such as the Dengjia Tower, Villa Street, and the Wu Clan Ancestral Hall, as well as institutions like Huilong Qiaoguang Primary School and Huilong Overseas Chinese Hospital, collectively showcase Huilong's distinctive overseas Chinese cultural heritage.

As Guangdong's flagship platform for international communication, South's channels have already established a presence in nearly half of the province's cities, including Guangzhou and Shenzhen, and set up dedicated cultural centers in districts such as Chancheng, Nanhai, and Shunde.

The launch of the South International Communication Hub of Zhaoqing Gaoyao Huilong Overseas Chinese Hometown Culture is expected to further enhance Huilong's role as a bridge between China and the world. Through regular cultural exchange initiatives and targeted content distribution, the hub will promote mutual understanding between Chinese and foreign cultures while highlighting Huilong's rich heritage and favorable investment and business environment.
