Compared with previous sessions, this year's conference has five distinct highlights:

1. Taste of Hometown: Classic Nanhai dishes such as Lainiao Roast Goose, Yanbu Autumn Eggplant, and Jiujiang Barbecued Pork will be featured.

2. Visual Feast: The premiere of the Xiqiao Mountain Light Show will take place on October 31.

3. Establishment of Overseas Institution: The Overseas Nanhai General Chamber of Commerce will be unveiled during the conference, helping overseas villagers seize investment opportunities in their hometown and supporting Nanhai's investment promotion efforts.

4. Quality Products Go Global: The exhibition and sales event will showcase characteristic products from various towns and streets, such as Xiangyunsha (Gambiered Canton Gauze), Pingzhou Jadeware, and hydrogen water cups, building a cooperation bridge for enterprises at home and abroad.

5. Youth Engagement: It is expected that 200-300 young overseas students will participate in various sessions, injecting youthful vitality into the event.

"Nanhai is a renowned hometown of overseas Chinese, with over 400,000 compatriots from abroad, and more than 60 overseas associations spread across over 30 countries and regions on five continents," said Han Feng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Nanhai District Committee and Director of the Organization Department. He noted that the Penang Nanhai Guild Hall in Malaysia—the oldest existing overseas Nanhai guild hall—has a history of nearly 200 years. All overseas Chinese have always cherished their homeland, making significant contributions to Nanhai's development through remittances, investments, and donations to public welfare projects.
