Binhaiwan extends invitation for cooperation at Asia-Pacific Media Forum Dongguan Sub-forum

The Asia-Pacific Media Forum Dongguan Sub-forum was held at OPPO Binhaiwan Park on September 3, drawing around 100 representatives of mainstream media outlets and international organizations, along with think-tank scholars, from APEC member economies and across the Asia-Pacific and Eurasian regions.

The participants engaged in in-depth exchanges focusing on the theme "Asia-Pacific Transformation: New Path for Digitalization, Smart Technology and Green Development."

The Asia-Pacific region is witnessing accelerated progress in digitalization, smart technology and green development. As a major global manufacturing hub, Dongguan has in recent years advanced its industrial shift from manufacturing to smart manufacturing, moving up the value chain from production to upstream innovation. Driven by original innovation in next-generation technologies, tech companies represented by OPPO continue to drive industrial innovation across China and the broader Asia-Pacific through industrial collaboration.

During the special promotion session, Dongguan Binhaiwan Bay Area presented to participants a full picture of this booming coastal new town from four dimensions: openness, technology, green development and livability. Binhaiwan serves as Dongguan's most dynamic gateway to opening-up. Boasting a geographic edge as "a core bay-area hub connecting Hong Kong and Macao and linking the world," it is home to leading enterprises and innovation carriers including OPPO, vivo, Great Bay University and Lingxi Island.

It has grown into a key portal for Dongguan to engage with the Asia-Pacific region and showcase the city's development achievements. With new opportunities brought by APEC cooperation, Binhaiwan invites investors from the Asia-Pacific region to set up operations here and share the development dividends of the Greater Bay Area.
