Entering December, the warming trend continues, and for major cities along the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, this rise in temperature will bring an end to early winter's chill, with many places expecting highs around 20°C, reviving the warmth of autumn. In southern China's Guangzhou, temperatures could reach a high of 26°C on December 4th, hinting at a return of heat.
However, a new wave of stronger cold air is on its way. When this cold air moves south and encounters the warm, moist air of the south, the continuous heat exchange between the two weakens the cooling effect, ultimately leading to the cold air merging with the warm air and losing its identity. Some cold air masses are not content with merely making their presence felt over land; they traverse mountains and plains to reach the sea, triggering harsh weather such as strong winds. Nevertheless, cold air ultimately cannot escape being "heated" by the ocean, transforming into a gentle breeze at sea.
Over the next three days, as the cold air takes a break, temperatures will take advantage of the situation to rise, with dry weather and large diurnal temperature variations. Folks should remember to drink plenty of water and dress warmly to avoid catching a cold!
