Guangzhou's first metro loop line, Line 11, is set to begin its operations at 2:00 PM on December 28th. The 44.2-kilometer line will pass through Tianhe, Baiyun, Yuexiu, Liwan, and Haizhu, five key districts of the city. A total of 31 stations will be served, with 26 stations offering transfers to other lines. Upon its launch, 14 of these stations will be connected to existing metro lines.

On the same day, Shahe Station (沙河站) on Line 6 will also begin offering services. However, due to ongoing renovations at Guangzhou Railway Station (广州火车站)
and Guangzhoudong Railway Station (广州东站) to accommodate rail upgrades, trains will bypass these stations without stopping.
Line 11 will operate a single route for both the inner and outer ring, with a one-way journey time of approximately 75 minutes. The first trains of the day will depart between 6:00 AM and 6:19 AM, and the last trains for both the inner and outer rings will depart between 9:44 PM and 10:56 PM. After this, trains heading towards the inner ring will terminate at Chisha Station (赤沙站), while those heading towards the outer ring will terminate at Longtan Station (龙潭站).
