China Southern Airlines (CSA) and Malaysia Airlines (MAS) have recently signed an expanded codeshare flight agreement, announcing the expansion to include the Guangzhou-Penang route operated by CSA, as well as the Kuala Lumpur-Beijing Daxing and Kuala Lumpur-Shanghai Pudong routes operated by MAS, beginning on July 10. Following the launch of the previous codeshare flight on the Guangzhou-Kuala Lumpur route, this move strengthens the cooperation between the two airlines, further expands their networks, and better meets the demands of passenger travelers.

Malaysia has always been a popular choice among Chinese travelers. To meet the diverse travel needs of customers, China Southern Airlines has increased its flights in Malaysia to 73 per week (one round-trip counts as one flight). Deepening cooperation with Malaysia Airlines is an important step for China Southern Airlines to promote the high-quality construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, build the "Silk Road in the Air" between China and major countries in Southeast Asia, and continue to provide quality services to business travelers, sightseeing tourists, and family visitors traveling between China and Malaysia.
Mr. Zhang Dongsheng, Deputy Director General of the Commercial Steering Committee and Senior President of the Marketing Division of China Southern Airlines, said, "Under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, China Southern Airlines will continue to leverage its network advantages to explore new international opportunities and facilitate the high-quality development of China-Malaysia economic, trade, tourism, and cultural exchanges. In the future, China Southern Airlines will deepen its cooperation with Malaysia Airlines in more fields, in order to bring a greater air travel experience for all passengers."
