The event of "Nanshan Logo & Slogan Launch and Global Cultural Resonance Night," held on September 27, 2024, unveiled Shenzhen Nanshan District's new logo and slogan, initiated IP co-branding, and kicked off the international cultural exchange season. The district's slogan is "Nanshan Never Stops!" Its logo consists of the letter "N" from "Nanshan" and the number "1," forming two upward arrows together. The design conveys Nanshan's enterprising spirit and strong vitality.

In 2023, Nanshan District's GDP reached 856.6 billion yuan, ranking first among all districts (counties) in Guangdong Province and second in China. Adhering to the principle of pursuing progress while ensuring stability, it witnessed a GDP of 449.5 billion yuan, an increase of 5%, in the first half of the year.

Drones made by DJI soared over Mount Qomolangma, the world's highest peak. The robot dog created by Limx Dynamics trekked through complex terrains such as gravel slopes and ditches in Tanglang Mountain. Chasing Innovation (Shenzhen) Technology Co., LTD produced underwater robots to navigate the deep sea, and Corheart 6, the world's smallest and lightest implantable fully magnetically levitated LVAD, was developed by Shenzhen Core Medical Technology Co., Ltd. China International Marine Containers Group (CIMC) built 184 boarding bridges that were used at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and Orly Airport for delegations from various countries participating in the Olympics. Many Nanshan-based businesses have grown to become global leaders in innovation.
Innovation has been part of Nanshan's culture since the reform and opening up. The city has led the way in technological innovation, giving rise to countless "miracles." It has made entrepreneurs its "specialty." The headquarters of Huawei, Tencent, BYD, DJI, and Mindray are all located here.

On September 12, 2024, Shenzhen Eastern General Aviation Co. Ltd, or Heli-Eastern, officially launched a 17-kilometer air taxi route. It starts from the Lenovo Houhai Center Heliport and connects famous landmarks such as Shenzhen Talent Park, China Resources Tower, Shenzhen Bay Park, Overseas Chinese Town, Happy Valley, Window of the World, Sand River Golf, and Shenzhen University. People can enjoy both the magnificent view of the towering skyscrapers in the CBD and the beautiful ecological scenery.

The new air taxi route for sightseeing was launched.
Electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) completed its maiden flight from the Shekou Cruise Homeport, shortening the journey to Zhuhai Jiuzhou Port to 20 minutes and creating the world's first cross-city and cross-bay route. Nanshan has over 500 enterprises committed to the low-altitude economy, with an output exceeding 55 billion yuan, accounting for 50% of the total nationwide.
Nanshan continues to optimize its business environment, which is market-oriented, law-based, and international. Recently, the MUSE Design Awards, known as the international “Oscars of Design”, announced the final list of winners. The greenway section around Xili Lake, an urban oasis, earned the Gold Award from a pool of 40,000 global entries.
The 15-kilometer greenway connects major functional areas such as parks, universities, scientific research institutions, communities, and industries in Xili Lake International Science and Education City.

Data shows that over 1.25 million trips were made in Nanshan during this year's National Day, with the tourism revenue reaching about 1.35 billion yuan. More than 1.05 million travelers used online travel agencies (OTAs), spending a total of 189 million yuan. The scenic spots and shopping districts of Nanshan have set new standards for offering locals and visitors first-rate travel experiences.
Nanshan boasts rich tourism resources, such as historical sites, theme parks, shopping malls, and wetlands. From September 15 to October 7, 2024, Nanshan has seen a variety of celebration activities. Locals and expats gathered to embrace Chinese culture and savor traditional festival tastes. More than 20 activities were held in Nantou City, Dutch Flower Town, and Zhongshan Park, including 3D mapping shows, sunset concerts, and riddle games.

During the international cultural exchange season from September to December, 2024, 30 activities focusing on culture, sports, science and technology, and consumption will be organized to enhance cultural and people-to-people exchanges. Among them, the Shenzhen Bay Public Art Season, Sino-French Art Exchange, WKG&M-1 Global Mixed Martial Arts Fight Shenzhen Station, Dasha River International Rowing Masters, the 6th World Cup Universal Open Dance Championship, and X-Lake Forum are highly anticipated.
In Nanshan, people can exercise anytime and anywhere. For instance, Nanhai Park has added intelligent fitness equipment, allowing people to exercise in nature. A total of 3,294 sports facilities, covering an area of nearly 6.34 million square meters, have been built in the district, and sports venues such as the Yuehai Sub-district Cultural and Sports Center are under construction.

Since September, Nanshan has hosted an Olympic Weekend Carnival to promote fitness for all. In 2021, three foreign football coaches from Frankfurt were introduced to teach students at Shenzhen Nanshan Foreign Language Senior High School.
