Later that afternoon, Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, Chairman and CEO of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), led the delegation to the Go Global platform for discussions with local officials. The two sides held in-depth talks on deepening economic and trade cooperation, enhancing industrial complementarity, and jointly building service systems, laying a solid foundation for future collaboration.

DCCI representatives noted that China is Dubai's largest trading partner. Dubai's imports from China have grown at a 14 percent compound annual rate, with bilateral trade reaching US$80.7 billion in 2024, 96 percent of which are Dubai's imports from China. These figures highlight the strength of Chinese manufacturing and Dubai's role as a key re-export hub serving the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
As Shenzhen's hub of technological innovation, Nanshan District has strong capabilities in the digital economy, artificial intelligence, biopharmaceuticals, and high-end manufacturing. Dubai, a global center for trade, finance, and logistics, offers substantial capital resources and an extensive international market network. The two sides are highly complementary, presenting broad prospects for collaboration.
"Manufacturing accounts for nearly 20 percent of Nanshan District's economy, compared with about 8.1 percent in Dubai, while Dubai holds clear advantages in finance, capital, and hub services," said Huang Xiangyue, Secretary of the CPC Nanshan District Committee. The Dubai delegation outlined five priority areas for cooperation—digital economy, fintech, advanced manufacturing, green energy, and transportation logistics—setting a clear roadmap for future collaboration.

During the visit, the Dubai delegation expressed strong interest in the Go Global support ecosystem for companies expanding overseas and its professional service model. Chairman Lootah praised the approach and stated that Dubai is willing to partner with the center to support two-way enterprise development. He noted that DP World operates 92 ports worldwide and handles about 90 percent of China-related trade through its ports, underscoring significant potential for deeper cooperation in logistics services.
