Twenty young people from Macao took part in an eight-week intensive film and television training program in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin on July 27.
The program attracted more than 100 applicants, with 20 selected after a rigorous selection process. It runs from July 27 to September 18 and covers specialized modules in AI production, operation and promotion, filming support and marketing, actor training and short-drama production.

The program will conclude with a showcase. Under their instructors' guidance, trainees will work together to produce a micro-drama and independently complete an AI-generated short film to demonstrate what they have learned.
During the program, the Labour Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government provides each trainee with a living allowance of 5,000 patacas every four weeks and a one-time allowance of 500 patacas for round-trip travel cost along with transport insurance, while the Cooperation Zone arranges free accommodation for all participants.
Covering an area of 17,000 square metres, the Hengqin International Film Studio features 94 high-quality film sets. As of July this year, the studio has completed the production of 43 dramas and established partnerships with leading media companies such as TVB, Mango TV and iQIYI.
