Shenzhen-made smart glasses enter 1,500 US stores, top Amazon's best-seller list

Shenzhen Langzhiyin Electronic Co., Ltd. has long ranked near the top of Amazon's best-seller list for smart glasses, at one point holding nine of the 10 leading spots. This year the Longgang District company, which employs fewer than 50 people, broke into U.S. retail as well, landing an opening order from Target and other chains that covered more than 1,500 stores.

The story of Langzhiyin began in 2005, when General Manager Deng Chenglong spotted a gap in the market: integrating digital technologies such as MP3 and Bluetooth into traditional eyeglasses. He led his team to launch R&D that year, saw the first products roll off the production line in 2006, and formally registered the company in 2009, making it one of Shenzhen's earliest pioneers in "digital glasses." At the time, "smart glasses" were still called "digital glasses." They mainly offered MP3, Bluetooth and video-recording functions, targeting outdoor sports enthusiasts and commuters.

In 2015, the company relocated to Bantian Subdistrict in Longgang District, with its office settled in Cloud Park. Longgang's integrated smart hardware supply chain and its long-established eyewear industry provided support for the company across R&D, mold-making, production, sales and after-sales services. In 2017, the company registered its own brand, OHO SUNSHINE, and launched it on Amazon.

To date, cumulative sales of its smart glasses have exceeded 1 million units, with exports to more than 80 countries and regions.

Langzhiyin is accelerating its global expansion, with North America as its core while extending into markets such as the U.K., the EU, Middle East, Brazil and Japan. Its channels have expanded from Amazon to TikTok, Temu and others.

Langzhiyin's products let users keep their familiar sunglasses-wearing habit while adding a tech-enhanced experience. Its advantages lie in long-term hardware expertise, professionally tuned audio and the wearing comfort of skin-friendly materials.

On the AI front, the smart glasses are integrated with Qwen and ChatGPT and support translation in 165 languages, targeting the mid-range market at $100 to $200.
