Finals of 3rd AIGC Innovation Competition conclude in Binhaiwan

The national finals of the 3rd China Collegiate Computing Contest-AIGC Innovation Competition concluded at vivo Global Headquarters on August 24. After two days of project presentations, defenses and fierce competition, the contest awarded five first prizes, ten second prizes and twenty third prizes in the Application Track, alongside one Blue Design Award and one Blue Innovation Award.

Since its launch, the competition has drawn 9,880 students from 762 universities nationwide, with more than 2,400 AI innovation entries submitted, marking an all-time high in participation. The contestants developed a range of innovative works featuring solid technical competence and social value, covering diverse scenarios including digital healthcare, smart mobility, image creation and life services.

To attract more young talent in the AI sector, Dongguan Binhaiwan Bay Area extended a "Youth Partner" invitation to all finalists on-site. It includes a full package of support measures such as incubation support for project rollout, entrepreneurship subsidies and office premises, sincerely encouraging young students to pursue innovation and entrepreneurship in Binhaiwan.

Located in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Dongguan Binhaiwan Bay Area is home to leading smart terminal enterprises including OPPO and vivo. Three major capability centers — the National AI Application Pilot Base Chip Application Development Center, the Ascend Ecological Adaptation Center and the OpenHarmony Adaptation Center — have been largely completed, delivering one-stop solutions for enterprises. Key industrial projects such as Lingxi Island are under accelerated construction. 

At the event, vivo issued internship offers to the team that won the Blue Innovation Award and other outstanding contestants, creating a direct pathway for university students to transition from campus to front-line industrial practice. This move enables close alignment between talent selection via competitions and corporate talent pipelines, further reinforcing the innovation ecosystem featuring deep integration of industry, university, research and application in Binhaiwan Bay Area.
