Young scientists from Zhuhai, Hong Kong, Macao, and Hengqin explore AI's role in healthcare

The 2025 Youth Science and Technology Forum was held in Zhuhai, Guangdong on March 22, focusing on AI's transformative potential in healthcare.

Organized by the China Computer Federation (CCF), the Zhuhai Association For Science and Technology, and the Health Bureau of Zhuhai, the forum featured keynote speeches and three specialist sub-forums delving into AI-driven advancements in medical devices, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), and smart healthcare.

In the AI and TCM session, experts had discussions focusing on AI's role in analyzing herbal components, enhancing diagnosis through natural language processing and knowledge graphs, and in improving medicinal plant recognition using advanced imaging technology.

Young scientists from leading institutions, such as Macau University of Science and Technology, Jinan University, and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, led the discussions, emphasizing collaboration and innovation in providing AI-powered healthcare solutions.
