2026 China (Shenzhen)-Mexico Industry and Investment Symposium concludes in Shenzhen

The 2026 China (Shenzhen)-Mexico Industry and Investment Symposium, themed "Paving the Way: Qianhai Expands New Frontiers in Mexico", was recently held at the Qianhai International Talent Hub. Co-hosted by the Consulate General of Mexico in Guangzhou, co-organized by SINYINK Group, and supported by the Qianhai Authority, the symposium served as a high-level platform for industrial dialogue between Shenzhen and Mexico. It brought together senior government representatives, industry leaders, financial and legal experts, and leading enterprises already operating in Mexico.

The event provided a comprehensive overview of Mexico's investment advantages and created an efficient pathway for companies from Shenzhen and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) to expand into North America at scale and in compliance with local regulations.

The symposium opened with remarks from Mr. Daniel Domínguez, Acting Consul General of Mexico in Guangzhou, who introduced investment opportunities in Mexico. He highlighted the country's solid macroeconomic fundamentals, strong geographic advantage for nearshoring, young and dynamic labor force, established manufacturing base, and continuously improving infrastructure. He emphasized Mexico's strategic value as one of the world's leading destinations for foreign direct investment and a key hub for North American nearshoring. He also reviewed achievements in China-Mexico economic and trade cooperation and expressed confidence in the continued growth of bilateral collaboration.

Mr. Zhao Shufeng, Level I Specialist (Director Level) of the International Cooperation Division of the Qianhai Authority, highlighted Qianhai's world-class business environment and support policies for overseas expansion. He reaffirmed Qianhai's role as a national gateway for opening-up and said it would continue to empower enterprises throughout the full life cycle of their global expansion through institutional innovation and resource connectivity.

Mr. Carlos Gimenez, Promotion and Public Affairs Counselor from the Consulate General of Mexico, delivered a focused session titled "In-depth Insights into Mexico's Investment Opportunities." He analyzed the complementary advantages of the U.S. and Mexico, Mexico's free trade agreement network covering more than 50 countries, and the IMMEX export manufacturing incentive program. In light of the new government's economic planning, he identified four major high-growth sectors for investment: automotive, electronics manufacturing, smart home appliances, and high-end medical devices. His presentation offered participating companies a clear industrial roadmap and practical direction for expanding into Mexico.

Ms. Rita Li, General Manager of the Overseas Business Division of SINYINK Group, presented "Chinese Companies Going to Mexico: Opportunity Analysis, Risk Mitigation, and Localization in Practice." Starting from the underlying logic of global industrial chain restructuring, she examined the real drivers behind overseas expansion and the hidden barriers companies often face. Beyond cost advantages, she pointed to challenges related to labor culture differences, compliance blind spots, and operational management. She also outlined an actionable localization framework, offering practical guidance for entrepreneurs seeking sustainable growth across the Americas.

Ms. Susana Muñoz, Legal Expert at GBA LatAm, provided a comprehensive risk assessment from a legal and compliance perspective. She reviewed key risk points in company incorporation, tax planning, labor and employment, intellectual property protection, and the application and maintenance of IMMEX in Mexico. She also proposed proactive solutions to help Chinese companies expand steadily and securely in Mexico.

During the tea break and networking session, participants held in-depth discussions on cross-border resource integration and project cooperation.

Ms. Bárbara Díaz, Director of Asia Business Development at Banco BASE (Mexico), introduced a range of financial solutions in Mexico tailored for Chinese enterprises, covering fast-track corporate account opening, multi-currency cash pool management, 24/7 foreign exchange trading, low-cost cross-border transfers, and customized credit support. Her remarks addressed one of the most pressing challenges in overseas expansion: efficient cross-border capital management.

As a benchmark Chinese enterprise successfully established in Mexico, Xu Haohan, General Manager of Times Ceramics, shared his end-to-end practical experience from the ground up. His presentation covered plant construction, production launch, cross-cultural team building, and the establishment of a localized operating model. His firsthand account offered participants both practical lessons and a replicable success model.

A key highlight of the event was the official launch ceremony of the "SINYINK Group-Mexico Support Alliance". The alliance aims to integrate cross-border industrial resources, industrial park operations, legal services, and local financial support into a one-stop service system, forming a support ecosystem for enterprises going global. Its establishment marks a new phase in China-Mexico industrial cooperation, shifting from isolated services to a coordinated service ecosystem designed to support Chinese enterprises in their global expansion.

With intensive information sharing and targeted resource matching, the event effectively responded to the urgent needs of companies seeking to enter North America and establish operations in Mexico. Looking ahead, SINYINK Group will continue to leverage its deep experience in overseas industrial services, further expand its presence in Mexico and Latin America, and provide more leading Chinese enterprises with professional, localized support systems to help them move forward with confidence and achieve long-term success on the global stage.
