The Canton Fair, a key indicator of China's foreign trade, will connect over 31,000 companies with buyers from more than 200 countries and regions. Dongguan plans to leverage the platform to enhance high-quality manufacturing and foreign trade through brand upgrades, specialized events, and stronger customer engagement.

Dongguan exhibitors will participate in three phases of the fair: Phase 1 (Oct 15–19) for electronics and industrial manufacturing with 210 enterprises in 412 booths; Phase 2 (Oct 23–27) for furniture and building materials with 135 companies in 277 booths; and Phase 3 (Oct 31–Nov 4) for apparel, toys, and food, featuring 178 enterprises in 311 booths.

Notably, 275 participating companies—57.7% of Dongguan's exhibitors—are high-tech, specialized, or innovative enterprises, reflecting the city's commitment to advanced and smart manufacturing.

To enhance the impact of the "Dongguan Exhibition Area," all booths will carry the slogan "Guangdong Quality, Dongguan: Aesthetics of Manufacturing." A comprehensive media campaign across Canton Fair channels will emphasize the synergy between city branding and enterprise products, while four strategic advertising spots featuring dynamic videos and static imagery will showcase the practicality and aesthetics of Dongguan's manufacturing.

From January to August, Dongguan's foreign trade reached 1,025.61 billion yuan, up 14.6% year-on-year—well above national (3.5%) and provincial (4.2%) averages—ranking second in both Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta. Exports totaled 629.68 billion yuan (up 9.0%) and imports 395.92 billion yuan (up 24.9%). In August alone, trade hit 137.04 billion yuan, up 8.5%, with imports growing 21.6%, reflecting strong domestic market momentum.
