Heavy rain to continue in Guangdong as Typhoon Dolphin weakens

Rain continues in Guangdong on August 3. Some areas will see torrential downpours. Rainfall is expected to ease on August 4 as Typhoon Dolphin moves closer.

Typhoon Dolphin is gradually weakening and moving mainly westward. It is not expected to affect China's sea areas before the night of August 5. Meanwhile, a tropical depression has formed east of the Philippines. Even if it develops into Typhoon Kujira, it will likely be drawn into and disrupted by Dolphin's expansive circulation. It may eventually be absorbed into Dolphin's circulation and fail to develop independently.
