The women's basketball group stage of the 15th National Games officially tipped off on the afternoon of November 7 at the Desheng Sports Center in Shunde District, Foshan. Playing in front of their home crowd, Guangdong Team made a strong start in its opener, overpowering Hubei 105–57.
The team seized control early, racing to a 26–12 lead in the first quarter and maintaining the dominance for the rest of the game. Center Chen Mingling led the scoring with 24 points, while guard Yang Shuyu contributed 22.
According to the schedule, Guangdong will face Zhejiang on November 8 and Shandong on November 10. The group stage runs through November 11, with the quarterfinals set to begin on November 13. The top two teams from each of the three groups, along with the two best third-placed teams, will advance to the last eight.
