On the afternoon of September 12, an investment promotion conference targeting the Latin American market was successfully held in the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, under the guidance of the China-Lusophone Countries Commercial and Trade Service Center (CPTTSC).
The event brought together cross-border e-commerce sellers, traditional manufacturers, trading companies, and ecosystem service providers such as logistics and tax experts to explore new opportunities in Latin America's trillion-dollar market.
A business matching zone and exclusive sessions with top Mercado Libre sellers and service providers were set up, offering one-on-one consultations to help enterprises accurately address their specific needs and facilitate efficient resource connections.
Li Chong, Deputy Director of the Executive Committee of the cooperation zone, emphasized that the cooperation zone is leveraging core policies and the CPTTSC to create a high-quality development environment that attracts enterprises and supports their global expansion.
Wu Yanxiang, Deputy Director of the Legal Affairs Bureau, highlighted the CPTTSC's service system, which combines online and offline support and is backed by a one billion yuan industrial development fund, offering one-stop full-chain services for companies entering the Latin American market.
Xu Xi, Acting Deputy Director of the Cultural, Tourism, Exhibitions, and Commerce Division of the Economic Development Bureau, elaborated on Hengqin's support policies for cross-border e-commerce enterprises—including logistics subsidies, rent reductions, and talent training—which, together with CPTTSC's resources, enhance companies' confidence in exploring the Latin American market.
The conference marked not only a key step in enhancing the China-Portuguese-speaking countries cross-border service ecosystem through the collaboration between CPTTSC and Mercado Libre, but also demonstrated how the "Macao + Hengqin" advantage can provide Chinese companies with efficient access to Latin America. Moving forward, the full-chain support from CPTTSC and Mercado Libre's e-commerce ecosystem will continue to create synergies, helping more Chinese businesses achieve growth from 0 to 1 and beyond in Latin America's promising market.
