During the Labor Day holiday, Yuyin Shanfang, an ancient garden in Panyu District, Guangzhou, will present an immersive experience blending "intangible cultural heritage craftsmanship, garden aesthetics, and labor culture," showcasing the wisdom of Lingnan-style gardens and paying tribute to the spirit of labor. During the holiday, adult tickets are priced at just 14 yuan per person.

On May 1, Yuyin Shanfang's official Douyin (Tiktok's Chinese version) account will livestream a master craftsman creating traditional lime sculptures, kicking off the holiday festivities with this time-honored art.
From May 1 to 2, the garden will host a Cantonese dim sum banquet, a showcase of traditional Chinese attire, and artistic performances inspired by classical aesthetics, recreating the ambiance of a literati tea gathering.

From May 3 to 4, you can enjoy theatrical performances featuring actors in elaborate costumes, delivering melodious vocals and captivating movements that highlight the charm of Chinese opera. Interactive segments will include brief introductions to opera techniques, with opportunities for you to learn basic gestures and vocal styles on stage.

From May 1 to 5, Yuyin Shanfang will exhibit five types of intangible cultural heritage handicrafts: lime sculpture, cloisonné enamel, Cantonese stained glass, guqin (ancient zither), and mother-of-pearl inlay. Each day, a master artisan will demonstrate these techniques and share insights into their cultural significance.
