By 2025, the revenue of the ultra-high-definition video industry cluster in Guangdong is expected to exceed 1.08 trillion yuan, making it the tenth trillion-yuan industry cluster in Guangdong and the first of its kind nationwide, according to the Department of Industry and Information Technology of the province.
Today, Guangdong has established a comprehensive industrial chain system covering content production, network transmission, terminal display, core components, and industry applications. It has gathered over 60,000 related enterprises, with its panel production capacity, TV output, supply of 4K programs, and the number of 5G base stations all ranking first in the country.
In recent years, Guangdong has established the only national-level manufacturing innovation center in the display field in the country. It has built a globally leading G4.5-generation pilot-scale verification platform for printed displays, successfully completed the technical process of printed OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) displays, and made breakthroughs in a series of key technologies, including core display materials and inks for printed OLEDs.
