Starting July 20, the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin has rolled out special measures to speed up mail delivery from Macao to Hengqin, with mail now arriving as early as the next day.

The new initiative shortens the delivery time for mail sent from Macao to Hengqin by at least two calendar days through a full-chain overhaul of the postal process.
Under the updated system, mail from Macao is placed in dedicated mail bags with special labels and given priority in sorting and transfer.
At the border, the handover time has been moved up to 11:30 a.m., after which the mail is sent directly from the international mail exchange office to the delivery and collection center in Hengqin via a dedicated transport route. This eliminates unnecessary intermediate stops.

Along the way, a special delivery log is kept to enable full traceability, making the entire process more transparent.
Looking ahead, the Cooperation Zone will work with postal authorities on both sides to improve delivery efficiency for all types of mail, further advancing the integration of postal services between Hengqin and Macao and supporting deeper collaboration between the two places.
