139th Canton Fair Phase II concludes as cumulative global attendance hits 245,000

The second phase of the 139th Canton Fair concluded on April 27. As of 17:00 on the same day, the fair had attracted a total of 245,000 overseas buyers from 219 countries and regions, marking a year-on-year increase of 2.2% in international attendance from the last session.

The first two phases witnessed a significant uptick in high-profile institutional participation, with an accumulated 140 international industrial and commercial organizations dispatching official delegations to the venue. 

Of the total 468 organized purchasing groups in the first two phases, 344 leading global retailers—including household names such as Target (the USA), Tesco (the UK), Metro (Germany), Liverpool (Mexico), and Don Quijote (Japan)—showcased strong presence. 

This represents a 4.9% growth in participation from top-tier multinational corporations, signaling robust global confidence in the innovation and reliability of Chinese manufacturing.

From cutting-edge smart home solutions, trendy jewelry to the timeless appeal of oriental aesthetics, Phase II offered a comprehensive "China Solution" for premium lifestyles that resonated deeply with the diverse needs of international buyers.

Following the close of Phase II, the 139th Canton Fair will enter its third phase from May 1 to May 5, shifting the spotlight to toys, children and baby products, home textiles, stationery, and health and leisure goods. 

This upcoming phase will also feature a brand-new zone for functional and high-tech fabrics, further demonstrating the fair's commitment to showcasing the latest advancements in global trade.
