China to deliver second homemade cruise ship in November with maiden voyage from Nansha

Adora Cruises, in partnership with Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., announced on April 16 that Adora Flora City, China's second domestically built large cruise ship, will be delivered on November 6, 2026—nearly two months ahead of schedule. Following delivery, this ship will commence its maiden voyage season from the Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Home Port, mainly operating international routes.

It is reported that all key construction milestones have been achieved ahead of time. On March 20, Adora Flora City successfully floated out of dry dock at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipyard and has since entered the quay commissioning phase. As of now, the project is 96% completed, with interior works at 87% and commissioning at 76%. Several critical milestones have been reached ahead of schedule, and sea trials are planned for mid-May.

Measuring 341 meters in length with a gross tonnage of 141,900, Adora Flora City features 2,130 cabins and luxury suites, accommodating up to 5,232 guests. The ship offers a full range of facilities, including 28 distinctive restaurants and bars, a 1,000-seat grand theater, a shopping mall, art gallery, fitness center, spa, and kids' club—catering to the needs of guests of all ages.
