The 2025 Qingyuan Marathon is scheduled to start at 7:30 AM on March 16.
This year, the event will welcome 23,000 participants, including 7,000 full marathon runners, 8,000 half-marathon runners, and 8,000 fun run participants, marking an increase of 3,000 entries compared to 2024. The selected participants come from 13 countries and regions, and 103 universities have formed teams for the collegiate league, with thousands of students set to compete on the same stage.

The starting point of this year's Qingyuan Marathon is located at the North Gate of Qingyuan Sports Center Stadium, passing through areas such as the Nan'an Dock, the Sports Center, and the Qingyuan Campus of Guangdong Lingnan Institute of Technology along the way.

Refreshment stations will be set up every 5 kilometers along the course, providing water, sports drinks, and medical support. Additional cooling sponges and first aid stations will be available at key points, such as the 22.5-kilometer and 30-kilometer marks. There will be 26 medical stations along the route, equipped with 32 ambulances, 36 cycling ambulance teams, and 72 AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) to ensure the safety of participants.
Currently, preparations such as the race course setup, medical and security arrangements, and volunteer training are all in place. Race materials will be distributed starting from March 13.
During the Qingyuan Marathon, a variety of preferential activities will be launched in Qingyuan, including discounts on hotel accommodation, transportation, scenic spot tickets, and dining. With their race bibs, participants can enjoy discounts at over 20 scenic spots throughout the city, such as Gulong Gorge (古龙峡) and Huangteng Gorge (黄腾峡). From March 13 to 19, a 12% discount is available at 73 local specialty restaurants and high-quality dining establishments, allowing participants to savor authentic local cuisine.
