Guangdong will continue to deepen innovation in intelligent manufacturing and industry, accelerating the formation of new quality productive forces and providing strong support for advancing new industrialization.
This was revealed on February 24 at the sub-forum on smart manufacturing and the industrial internet during the provincial high-quality development conference.
Guangdong aims to promote the intelligent and digital transformation of its manufacturing industry, develop large industrial models and specialized small models, unlock the value of data elements, and strengthen the foundation of intelligent computing power.
Guangdong will implement the "artificial intelligence + manufacturing" initiative and expand the application scenarios of digital intelligence. It will also launch urban pilot programs to accelerate the digital transformation of small- and medium-sized enterprises.
Furthermore, efforts will be made to promote the quality of the industrial internet and the upgrading of industrial internet platforms, improve new digital infrastructure, and build a public service ecosystem for digital transformation.
The province will also strengthen fundmental support in funding, talent, and technology, accelerate the construction of a manufacturing empowerment system, and cultivate intelligent digital transformation service providers.
Guangdong boasts a robust manufacturing foundation, with 10 trillion-yuan industrial clusters covering next-generation electronic information, green petrochemicals, and smart home appliances. The province leads China in information infrastructure network development.
