The 2026 China-Mongolia Friendship News Awards results were recently announced at the 16th China-Mongolia Media Forum. An English-language report titled "China-Mongolia joint media tour highlights Guangdong's tech transformation and future collaboration", produced by South, stood out from numerous entries and was selected as the sole English-language winner among the 20 award-winning works.
The award is jointly judged by the All-China Journalists Association and the Mongolian Journalists' Association, with 10 Chinese and 10 Mongolian works selected, totaling 20 pieces. The initiative aims to encourage journalists from both countries to produce more outstanding works and foster a positive public opinion environment for consolidating traditional China-Mongolia friendship and deepening all-round cooperation.
The 16th China-Mongolia Media Forum was held on September 8 in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, under the theme "Media Responsibility: Fostering Mutual Understanding and Bilateral Friendship." More than 120 journalists and officials from both countries attended, with 14 delivering keynote speeches. The forum also launched a broadcast showcase for the 2026 award-winning works.
South's award-winning report originated from a joint media tour in Guangdong and Inner Mongolia in December 2025. During the tour, Mongolian journalists visited Guangzhou and Shenzhen, touring the GBA Life and Health Industry Innovative Zone, Yongqing Fang and the Guangdong Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Laboratory (Guangzhou), among other representative sites.

Tselmuun, a member of the Leadership Committee of the Confederation of Mongolian Journalists.
