The Shekou Culture and Sports Park in Shenzhen's Nanshan officially opened to the public on September 4th, after six years of construction.
With an area of 6,750 square meters, the Park has established the district's first synchronized swimming hall, featuring the endorsement of twins Wang Liuyi and Wang Qianyi, who won China's first Olympic duet gold in artistic swimming. Equipped with comprehensive sports facilities, theaters, libraries, and various other venues, it injects new vitality into national fitness.
Three floors above ground, two floors underground and an outdoor park constitute the Park.

Expats who visited the Shekou Cultural and Sports Park in Nanshan District gave a thumbs-up to the new facility.
"Finally!" said Russian Sergey Saanishvili, who added that he is most interested in the park's badminton courts and swimming pool. A quality assurance engineer for consumer electronics, Saanishvili has been in Shenzhen for 14 years.
Living just one Metro station away from the new facility, Saanishvili said, "I used to pass by this place every day on my bike ride to the office. I've witnessed the transformation of this complex from a construction site a few years ago."
From 4th September, sports fields for swimming, outdoor basketball, outdoor futsal, and badminton will be opened for a one-month trial operation. Training and guidance will also be provided by a professional coach.
