More than 20 international residents in Zhuhai joined a series of marine-themed activities on June 7 to mark the 18th World Oceans Day. Jointly organized by the Zhuhai Foreign Affairs Office and the Zhuhai Justice Bureau, the event highlighted the city's progress in marine ecological conservation, science and technology, and legislation.

Participants toured the Qi'ao Mangrove Wetland, where they learned about China's wetland protection laws and Zhuhai's legal framework for mangrove conservation and restoration. They also visited the Chinese White Dolphin Science Museum to explore the legal protections afforded to the species, often dubbed the "panda of the sea" and classified as a species under first-class national protection in China. At the Southern Marine Science and Engineering Guangdong Laboratory (Zhuhai), the group viewed major marine innovations, including Zhu Hai Yun (珠海云), the world's first intelligent unmanned research vessel, underscoring the city's growing role in marine science and technology.
