Guangzhou's Liwan opens road on the east side of Huadi River

The road on the east side of Huadi River (starting from Chajiao Surge 茶滘涌 in the north and extending to Huanhua West Road 浣花西路 in the south), located along the Huadi River within the Bai'etan Central Business Zone in Liwan District, was officially opened to traffic at 24:00 on December 15, 2024.

The 1,700-meter-long road features four lanes in both directions and has a total investment of approximately 220 million RMB. The completion and opening of this road effectively adds a critical four-lane north-south transportation artery on the east bank of Huadi River.

Moreover, it successfully connects four dead-end roads—Huanhua West Road, Fengnian Road, Huahai Street, and Chajiaochong Road—which have been closed for over 20 years.

This road vertically connects Chajiao Road 茶滘路, Suiyan Road 穗盐路, Huanhua West Road 浣花西路, Huahai Street 花海街, Fengnian Road 丰年路, Dongjiao North Road 东漖北路, and others, significantly improving the road network in the southern district and greatly enhancing the connectivity and accessibility of the areas along the east bank of Huadi River.
