The Qixi Festival, also known as Chinese Valentine's Day, falls on August 19 this year. Celebrated on the seventh day of the seventh month of the Chinese lunar calendar, Qixi is a traditional Chinese festival of love.
To mark the occasion, the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin will host a themed marriage registration event, inviting couples registering their marriages that day to join the celebration.

The entrance to the marriage registration office will be decorated as a "Magpie Bridge" arch symbolizing faithful love, with themed photo walls. Five interactive games will combine traditional Qixi customs with local features of Hengqin and Macao.
All couples who register their marriage that day will receive a marriage certificate album. Couples who complete all five interactive games can receive a pair of commemorative wedding cups.

Zhuhai Maternal and Child Health Hospital will set up a service booth at the event, offering couples free electronic health record registration and premarital health checkups.
Two free lectures will also be held. From 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., doctors will share information on premarital health checkups and preconception care. From 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., a lawyer will offer guidance on legal liabilities and marriage-related rights.
Time: August 19, 9 a.m. to noon and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Venue: Marriage Registration Office of Livelihood Affairs Bureau, 4th Floor, Hengqin Culture & Arts Complex, 698 Haojiang Road
